Over the late August bank holiday weekend, many L’Arche members and friends enjoyed a weekend of fun, thought and theology at Greenbelt Festival.

Greenbelt is an inclusive, welcoming festival which gives its attendees the chance to be challenged and delighted by events and talks relating to activism, artistry and belief. L’Arche folk had a great time listening to talks, watching theatre, getting crafty and even (gently!) challenging the likes of Richard Dawkins!

This year, L’Arche hosted its own exhibition tent in the ‘Greenbelt Takeaway’ - a place where individuals gather to learn more about a host of charities and organisation striving for positive change in the world. Here we caught up with old friends, and made new ones too – inviting people to learn about L’Arche and the opportunities we have to ‘join in’.

For many people within L’Arche, Greenbelt is a place to learn, reflect and share. This was particularly the case at the L’Arche foot-washing service. After the event, many people dropped by our tent to say how moved and humbled they were by the experience.

What an honour it was to give and receive at Greenbelt this year. Bring on Greenbelt 2023!
