We are a Community of around 80 people, including people with and without learning disabilities, support assistants, volunteers, friends and neighbours, in south Manchester.
Manchester is one of the most diverse and welcoming cities in the country, known as a hotbed of industry, science, culture, football and music. Our L’Arche Community is based in the Withington and Rusholme districts, which are full of cafés, restaurants and independent shops, catering for a mix of students, young professionals and families. And, if hiking and the outdoors are your thing, we’re in easy reach of the Peak District too, the first of Britain’s national parks.
L’Arche Manchester is a youthful and growing Community, currently supporting 20 people with learning disabilities across six houses and The Hive, our day service. Our houses are well-integrated, and our neighbours are frequently around for cups of tea and shared meals.
