There are all kinds of different reasons why people want to leave a gift in their will to L'Arche. Some of our supporters share their motivations below.

However big or small, legacy gifts make a huge difference to the lives of our Community members. And they are vital to the future of L’Arche. Click here to see what legacy gifts enabled us to do in Manchester and Edinburgh.

Writing a will can feel daunting at first, but it needn’t be. There are many different ways to do this today – even online. Guardian Angel, our legal partner, can guide you through their online will-writing service in as little as 15 minutes.

When we realised you could write a will online it was such a relief, Tom and Sally

And as a L'Arche supporter, you are entitled to a FREE will using the code LARCHE-FREE-20 at check-out. Or you can call 0800 773 4014 to book an appointment.

We’ve also designed a legacy pack, with a “how-to guide” and ten easy steps for making your will.

Future

“We had no idea where to begin, but I knew about Guardian Angel, L’Arche’s free will writing service. When we realised you could do it all online, it was such a relief! The website’s really user-friendly! We expected the language and information would be hard to understand and confusing, actually, it’s quite straightforward and really simple. It’s great to have this sorted!” Tom and Sally

Faith

“Although I am not a rich man, perhaps to some I may be, but I believe God has given me these gifts to share with others. Leaving a legacy to L’Arche means I’m helping to continue their wonderful work even when I am no longer in this world. I know the gift I leave them will be used wisely.” Mike Thornley

Family

“I decided to leave a legacy because I have been so impressed with the quality of support our daughter, Jane, has received for more than twenty years. I want to do what I can to ensure that L’Arche will continue to care for Jane, and people like her, well into the future.” Morwenna Orton
