You can find our Community in the Leith and Restalrig areas of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city.

Leith is a busy neighbourhood in the east of Edinburgh and includes the old dock area. It’s easy to get around the city by bus, and the tram system has just been extended to Leith, so there’s a fast route to the airport that now only takes 45 minutes. Edinburgh city centre is close by, and there’s always lots to do, from cinemas, theatres, cafes, museums and of course the famous Festival in August.

L’Arche Edinburgh has been here since 1991 and we have many long standing connections to local faith communities, universities and other community groups, and more recently to the local Ukrainian community.

Our community is home to 16 people with learning disabilities, who we support at home, as well as volunteers, friends, neighbours and L’Arche assistants. We have a mix of supported living houses, where the people we support share their home with other people with learning disabilities and with live in assistants. We also support 4 people to live more independently in their own flats.
