Support we offer in Brecon At the heart of our Community is the support we provide in Glasfryn, a family sized house where people with and without learning a learning disability share life together. The focus of our support is the relationships we build with each other around the meal table, as well as other parties and celebrations. There is a flat next door to Glasfryn, occupied by someone supported by our team as part of our Community, who enjoys a more independent lifestyle. We also have a programme of day activities. And our workshop, located in the town centre, is home to Rebound Books, our award-winning project where we turn unwanted old books into beautiful diaries and notebooks. We have a long history of working with social services and social work departments, health authorities, primary care trusts, registration and regulatory authorities, others, to provide high quality support that is recognised as being truly responsive to people with learning disabilities. Our most recent Care Inspectorate Wales report (January 2025) praised the "very high quality care and support" people receive in L'Arche Brecon.
