I'm a learning disability and autism leader!

In the middle of 2020, I found out that I was going to be added to the Dimensions Coronavirus Leaders 2020 list! It was announced at a virtual awards ceremony on 4^th December, presented by Radio Two’s Ken Bruce.

I was nominated for the award, and then Dimensions got in touch with me. I was nominated because I’ve been putting messages on Facebook throughout lockdown, just to talk to people and just to reassure people that we’re all in this together really. Someone said they thought my messages were better than the Prime Minister’s messages.

I really enjoyed the ceremony… after some technical issues prevented me from entering! Now I have to think about what it means to be a Coronavirus leader. It doesn’t seem like the virus is going away any time soon, so I guess I’ll continue to create supportive messages for my friends with and without learning disabilities.
