L'Arche Preston

We are a Community of around thirty people in the North West of England.

We are proud to be based at the edge of Moor Park, just a few hundred yards away from Preston North End FC, the first champions of the English Football League. Preston is a well-connected city, with easy access to all the cultural attractions of Manchester and Liverpool as well as some of the most stunning countryside in Britain: the Lake District (UNESCO world heritage site), Yorkshire Dales National Parks and the beaches of the west coast.

At the heart of our Community – our core members – are the thirteen people with learning disabilities we support. Alongside them are other community members, volunteers, friends and neighbours, all of whom play an integral role in fostering a kind and inclusive atmosphere.

After more than a quarter of a century in Preston, we have established long and deep connections with local community groups and churches – and we seek opportunities to participate actively in local festivals and gatherings.
