L’Arche is here to show that everyone belongs. We create Communities where people with and without learning disabilities live, share and grow together. We build relationships with people in our neighbourhoods. We work towards a world where people with learning disabilities are included and valued.

In L’Arche, we believe that to be human is to be spiritual. Our spirituality is shaped by our founding Christian tradition. But we are all invited to share, explore and co-create our spiritual life together, whoever we are and wherever we come from.

We celebrate diversity and seek to build Communities where everyone is treated fairly, with kindness and respect, and valued for who they are. There is a staff network group for live-in assistants throughout L'Arche. Additionally, our EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) group is dedicated to proactively building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment across L'Arche.

People in L’Arche love cooking and eating together. We try to make sure everyone feels welcome to join the meals we share, and no one feels left out.
