At the heart of the L’Arche London Community is the support we provide to people with learning disabilities. We have a history of working with social services, health authorities, the Care Quality Commission, and housing associations to provide high-quality, responsive care.
We provide support to adults with learning disabilities in eight supported living homes, and to others who live on their own in the West Norwood area. We also run a larger family-sized residential care home, shared by five people with learning disabilities and five support assistants, which leads onto our stunning community garden.
We also run a wide-ranging programme of day activities, based in our two amazing workshops, which is open to people with disabilities living in or outside L’Arche. We work with individuals to develop daily living skills, we make space for creativity and fun and we are passionate about helping people to reach their goals.
