Ever since the L'Arche Community opened in Manchester, they have been sending a team to participate in the Great Manchester Run. The 10K race is the largest event of its type in Europe. Runners revel in the carnival atmosphere of the event - with supporters lining the streets of Manchester to cheer them on. 

In 2025, several runners with learning disabilities used the challenge to fundraise - raising money not only for their Manchester Community, but for L'Arche Communities across the world.
