At the 2025 Zero Project Conference, team members of L’Arche Canada, L’Arche UK and L’Arche International – people with and without learning disabilities – partnered on an exciting media project.

For L’Arche UK, a major component of the project was coaching and mentorship: identifying a talented communicator and training them in media skills. Last year, we caught up with Siân Walker, from L’Arche Manchester, who worked for the first time as Inclusive Media Representative at #ZeroCon25. One of her coaches was Nick Herd, a man with a learning disability from L’Arche Canada.

In this new behind-the-scenes video, we discover how Siân and her support team prepared beforehand, the rapid learning journey she went on each day, and her confidence and pride as the Conference progressed.
