Sam Wells on 'being with' and belonging in a time of loneliness In November 2018, L'Arche UK hosted a public event at the Wellcome Collection in London, exploring the role of intentional communities like L'Arche in creating places of belonging in a time of loneliness. The Revd Dr Sam Wells from St Martin-in-the-Fields gave the keynote address, presenting his eight principles of 'being with' from his book A Nazareth Manifesto. The panel discussion that followed was chaired by the journalist Maggie Fergusson. The panellists were Richard Keagan-Bull, a member of the L'Arche London Community; Samantha Clark, Chief Executive of Learning Disability England and Sheila Hollins, Professor of Psychiatry of Learning Disability at St George's, University of London.
