At the end of 2021, we interviewed some of the house leaders from Kent, Edinburgh, London and Manchester Communities to learn what is it like being at the frontline of where it all happens. These are the people who deal with multiple crises at once! Therefore, we wanted to ask them what keeps them going? What brings them joy in their roles and which challenges are the most difficult ones to overcome?

"What brings me life and joy in my role is witnessing the change that L'Arche helps bring out in people."
"When I arrived at L'Arche, I felt so welcome for who I am. It was amazing – just to be yourself and be appreciated. What could be better than that!"
"What I really enjoy about L'Arche is just daily life with people with disabilities: doing stuff together, going out, going swimming, grabbing some lunch afterwards, supporting people where and when they need it."
