We're looking for someone to lead and develop our programme of creative communications and media activities for people with learning disabilities. Day-to-day you will plan, deliver and coordinate workshops exploring creative media and IT, supporting people with learning disabilities to explore and develop their skills. You will identify creative ways for people with learning disabilities to report on and celebrate the things they do, helping to promote L’Arche and the people involved with it.  Past projects have included video making, audio recording, photography and using social media creatively.

Our Day Services run a range of art activities including weaving and candle making. You will identify opportunities for people with learning disabilities to use new media and digital platforms to develop and promote their own art or products for sale. You will also contribute to the development of our foyer shop as an exhibition and promotional space.

This role is part of the Day Services team.  As a team you will develop, pilot and evaluate new activities to enable L’Arche to provide a more person centred programme to more individuals, and together you will work to establish stronger links with current and potential partners or supporters in the local area, such as the local library and cinema, volunteer groups and local networks.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic facilitator, someone who is excited about sharing digital creativity with people who are usually sidelined.  If you are looking to make a difference in the lives of others, get in touch.
