In Conversation at Greenbelt: Pádraig Ó Tuama, members of the L’Arche Preston Community, and Charlotte Overton-Hart from Story Chaplain.

Saturday 24 August, 12.30pm, Shelter

We are excited to announce that L’Arche will be at this year’s Greenbelt festival, hosting a conversation between Pádraig Ó Tuama, members of the L’Arche Preston Community and Charlotte Overton-Hart from Story Chaplain.

In L’Arche, community members often sit around a table, or cross-legged on a floor, telling stories. We tell stories, our own and each other’s, some sung or signed, as a way to become known to each other.

The stories of people often marginalised by society are rich in wisdom and wit, revealing truths about what it means to be human and to be known.

Join us for a conversation about storytelling with poet and theologian Pádraig Ó Tuama, Tim and Lucille from the L’Arche Preston Community, and Charlotte Overton-Hart who founded Story Chaplain, a social enterprise which uses the arts and storytelling to create meaningful moments with people living with dementia.

Our panellists are individuals with and without learning disabilities and, as such, this conversation will invite you to think about wit and wisdom, and storytelling, in new and revelatory ways.
