West Norwood is a vibrant and diverse community nestled in the heart of the UK's lively capital city. Our home is located in West Norwood, a friendly neighbourhood in South London that we proudly call home. Here, you'll find an array of independent cafes, galleries, and a cinema, making it an exciting place to live. Plus, its convenient location allows easy access to the city centre, just half an hour away by bus or train.

Our Community includes over 30 people with learning disabilities, who we support at home and in our workshops. Alongside them are our faithful community members, volunteers, friends, and neighbours, all of whom play an integral role in fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Additionally, our team of dedicated L’Arche assistants adds further support and care to our core members.

Our community is rich with talented artists, skilled gardeners, and passionate actors. We aim to create as many spaces as possible where every community member is able to grow and thrive. We also spend time with our neighbours and local community groups, joining in with local festivals and exhibitions, putting our unique stamp on this buzzing area of London.

At L’Arche London, our mission since 1977 has been to create an environment where diversity is celebrated, creativity is cherished, and independence is nurtured. We welcome all to join us in building a community that values every individual and embraces the beauty of differences. Together, we aim to foster a more inclusive and compassionate world.
