About people with learning disabilities
L'Arche welcomes men and women with learning disabilities who are aged 18 or more. They live with Assistants in ordinary houses within the wide community. In L’Arche Communities everyone is equal. People with and without learning disabilities have the same value and dignity. Everyone is consulted about running the Community. We have no ‘staff’, no uniforms and a lot of autonomy.
