More about Kent and Canterbury

Beautiful Kent and Canterbury

Canterbury is a world heritage site, steeped in history and tradition with beautiful streets, markets and of course, the world famous Canterbury Cathedral – the centre of the Church of England around the globe.

Kent – known as the Garden of England – is perhaps the most beautiful of English counties with rolling hills, orchards and ancient villages.

Canterbury is an island within an island – surrounded on three sides by amongst the most beautiful coastlines in Britain including the world famous cliffs of Dover, the gateway to the Europe - our nearest L'Arche community is Ambleteuse in France yet Canterbury is less than an hour from London.

A youthful and vibrant city, Canterbury boasts four universities and during the summer months teems with visitors and tourists, bringing colour and energy to this most historic of cities. www.canterbury.co.uk
