Rebound Books – more than just BOOKS!

Now that the Rebound Books project has relocated to The Muse (the Old Museum in Brecon), we have been able to expand on the range of things we create and the amount of sessions we can offer for individuals to join us.

As well as continuing with the production of journals, diaries and sketchbooks – through recycling old discarded books – we are now using all waste products to produce other items, such as bunting, confetti and cards.

We have also started a second workshop which creates small pieces of furniture through recycling cardboard – Alternative paper Based Technology. If you are interested in joining our workshops or purchasing our products please call 07794396360.

Volunteers – WE WANT YOU!

As our Community continues to develop and expand we are always on the lookout for volunteers who would be interested in helping us.

We will be launching our Volunteer Scheme in Autumn 2015, but if you already have an interest in supporting us please do get in touch by calling 01874 624483.

We can offer many different opportunities for volunteering from becoming a committee member or joining the Friends of L’Arche group to driving and helping support people at different activities.

25th Anniversary & History project

Incredible to believe it but at the end of 2014 L’Arche Brecon reached the respectable age of twenty five!

Whilst there was a small celebration last year, we are planning to hold a bigger public celebration of our Silver Jubilee this Summer.

Talks have begun with Penmaes School, whose headmaster all those years ago, was instrumental in the beginnings of L’Arche here in Brecon. To coincide with this we are currently working on a history project which will archive and present our Community’s history to date.

If you know something of our history that you would like to share please call 01874 624483.
